Soccer is a global sport that was originally developed in England. It has quickly become one of the most popular sports in the world. Soccer can be played on any sized field and with either 11 or 18 players on each team (depending on what league you are playing). There are two main types of soccer: association football, which is also called "soccer," and American football, sometimes referred to as "football." Many people often ask what the difference is between these two kinds of football.

Soccer

Soccer is played with a ball, also referred to as a soccer ball or football. The object of the game for each team is to kick the ball into their opponent’s goal more times than they can defend against it. At the end of the game, whichever team has scored more goals wins.

Association Football

Association football is also commonly referred to as "soccer." The object of the game for each team is to score by kicking or heading the ball into their opponent’s goal. An association football match consists of two 45-minute halves with a 15-minute halftime break.

American Football

American football is often referred to as "football" by non-Americans. The object of the game for each team is to score more points than their opponent’s through either kicking, carrying or passing the ball into their end zone at the end of a play (down). An American football match consists of four quarters with a 15-minute halftime break.

Basic Skills in playing soccer

Step 1: Dribble the ball. The best way to improve your dribbling is by practicing. Dribbling the ball, you can control it while running and even with different speeds that would suit a beginner's needs better than others.

Step 2: Practice passing skills. The key to passing is putting the ball exactly where you want it, and that starts with mastering basic passes! To do this take an inside-of pass by kicking with just one foot. you can then try to slice and hook the ball in order to pass it to one of your teammates.

Step 3: Temper your shooting skills. There are two ways for hitting the ball: feet or hips.

If you're really close to the goal and all you need is accuracy, you can shoot using the sweet spot of the inside of your foot, like a pass. Normally, though, you're going to be farther away and will need power as well as accuracy.

Hit the ball to the left of the middle laces of your shoe, with your foot pointed down at the ground. Keep your foot pointed down at the ground as you follow through.

Use your hips to swing through the ball. Bring your foot across your body if necessary to generate even more power. This should cause both feet to lift from the ground.

Step 4: Build your defending skills. Defending skill is often an underestimated ability. Here we list the basic things that you should remember when guarding a player in soccer:

Don't be fooled if your opponent starts and stops with the ball, fakes one way before heading another or tries other feints.

Instead keep eye on where it is at all times so you can stay in between them without letting anything get behind you! Right after someone hits a dribble—that's when step-in for tackles/kicks towards an open teammate because this kind of anticipation will knock out any attacker that has possession

The key word here being "anticipate." You need to know about their next move ahead but not too far off enough where they could easily change direction while still having time left over from there previous action.
